Dark Beauty

Going down the memory lane,
recollecting moments in vain:
there is joy and there is pain
stabs of betrayal and crowning pain.

Oh Night!
be my friend tonight.
I see you lonely amidst a sea of stars.;
seducing the proud moon gleaming bright.
You are quite, and silent, and sad...
what is it that your soul longs for?
why this gloom and melancholy?
You may be dark, but you've got beauty !
You've got peace, you're an enigma to me.
Alas! I loose you in sleep
with dreams and nightmares troubling me
but what else do I do?
Am as lonely as you !
you long for the haughty moon-
I long for love : but where will it bloom?
This world is too savage to let it grow.
so I sail away with the flow
give rest to my soul and free my ghost-
Of shadows of past.
"Anything that does'nt shatter me,
makes me stronger."
But will I be able to take this any longer?
tears, tears, these idle tears....
haven't you got anything better to do?
Don't breach the solitude of night.
Hush up sobs you'll upset her...

Come on Night
let ME be your friend tonight.
You're dark, you're beautiful but lonely:
Answer this enigma for me-
"Why does the moon hold his head so high?"
-He looks so forlone in the sky!
Hey Beauty! In your eyes, I see the strength of your soul.
Keep me drowning in your captivating charm...
when in your arms, I feel nothing can harm.
No No, don't run, don't hide !
I'll also empty my pocket of plights:
there is a plexus of crumpled dreams;
some lived,
some lost,
some dead,
some still lingering on.....
Here comes the Zephys in all it's profligacy.
It's a fallacy to romanticise the Night.
She won't give in to your swank:
for she has promised to be my friend TONIGHT!
